About Us
Welcome to the Bench Systems Website
Bench Systems was the first American company to offer wooden benching on a national basis in the US marketplace. Garden Centers were requesting a local supplier for products they were seeing in England and having to import or produce themselves. Our cedar displays, designed for indoor and outdoor use, are styled after the European and English versions that have been in use in garden centers in Europe for many years.
In the last four years we have placed our benching in over five hundred independent garden centers. A large number of nursery growers such as Proven Winners, Novalis, Pride’s Corner Farm, Riverbend etc have worked with us to improve their displays and POP with the independent garden centers as well.
This website features an expanded line of our wooden products, some in customer settings and others offering suggested uses in garden center settings. We hope you will find ideas here that will assist you in developing your garden center into the retail environment your customers will enjoy. Successful retailing today is much more than growing a healthy plant and putting it out to sell. Merchandising and image are critical to the long term success of your business. It is an investment that must be made; like a new greenhouse or an expanded parking lot. Our product line is designed to help you enhance that image and make the consumer comfortable in your store.
We started with simple outdoor benching for plants. As you will see our line has expanded into displays and merchandisers for pottery, bagged goods, signage and others garden center uses. We want to continue to expand the line to include a broad line of all weather display products to cover your merchandising needs from gift shop to foliage center.
